Recent news from the apparel industry indicates that some changes have occurred in companies offering the popular coaches-style windbreakers and satin baseball jackets. Cardinal Activewear is now one of the few companies remaining who supply those styles of jackets to the apparel industry, especially to the clothing decorators - the screen printers and direct embroiderers. What does this mean to you, the consumer? It means the demand for these Cardinal jackets from the apparel decorating industry will increase which could impact availability for consumers or organizations - EXCEPT - except for the fact that we at Lew's Store have an excellent working relationship with our vendor, Cardinal Activewear, and will continue to provide these lines of jackets to our customers. Hey, Folks, it's that time of year, again - Back to School, Back to College, Fall just around the corner, and Lew's Store is ready.      The other day I ran into a friend who told me that he was going to have to "replenish his supply of windbreaker jackets." He was referring to the jacket we call the light lined nylon coaches jacket (style CA321). My friend is in construction. He also enjoys fishing, hiking and camping. So any jacket he wears has to be durable. The jacket he was wearing had some paint stains, but was none the worse for wear. He told me that he had gotten concrete, plaster and putty on it, but it all washed out. His words were, "You just toss it into the wash, dry it, take it out and go." My friend has kids who are into soccer; so, he bought jackets in their team colors and wears them during the evening games. He said, "The jacket is perfect - not too light or too heavy, and you can stuff it into a stuff sack and take it out when needed."

      Things just keep changing and growing for us here at Lew's Store. We added a Facebook page for the convenience of our friends, and now we have added the Google +1 button to our site. (Look over to the left of the page to see it.) If you're like me, if you find a page or site that you really like, you have to bookmark it so you can return to it easily. The only problem is my list of bookmarks is long! The Google +1 button is a nifty little tool that lets you easily bookmark a page or an item that you like, and you can share it with your friends and family. I hope you, too, like the convenience of our Google button. Use it and share it!

          A customer told me the other day that he had had a jacket for years that he loved. It was beginning to show some wear and age; so, he checked the tag and saw that it was a Cardinal Activewear jacket. He got on the internet and did some searching and shopping looking for that particular Cardinal Activewear jacket. He came across our store, Lew's Store, and decided to check us out. He said he was a little skeptical because our prices were so low, and he was afraid the item may not be a quality jacket. He took a chance and ordered from us. He said that to his delight the jacket was very well made and was the same jacket he had for years — and he was very happy with the price!
